For nearly 15 years I've wanted to have a printing press at my
disposal. My needs are simple as far as presses go, and I finally
found one when I had a few bucks to spare. Look for new works to be
piling up. Time to sharpen my distribution skills it seems.
Looks as if I'll be involved in an upcoming printmaking show. Sounds
like there will be about 30 artists involved, so if you have an
interest in printmaking, this would be a great way to see a number of
PDX printmakers in one fell swoop.
Bite Studio is hosting LOVE IN PRINT. A love-themed
art show and benefit for p:ear (Portland not-for-profit providing
services to homeless and transitional youth).
Details: Opening February 1st, 6-10pm Love In
Print will feature both emerging and established printmakers. This is
not a juried show - rather, it is open to all Portland printmakers.
P:ear: In honor of love, 50% of all sales will be donated to p:ear (check them out at www.pearmentor.org ).
Love Themed?: Yes, this is Love in Print - but this is open to interpretation. Love can mean many things.
